Account and identity
Learn how your Bounded identity, sign-in accounts, public profile, and private Contacts relate without collapsing into one public social graph.
Your Entity owns your context
After you sign in, you act through an owned Entity. That Entity owns Entries, Contacts, Containers, profile details, and the permissions used throughout Bounded, while your sign-in method proves access to the account.
Accounts prove identity
An Account is an email, provider, or social identity linked to an Entity. Connected Accounts help Bounded verify identity and can be managed separately from the profile information other people are allowed to see.
Your Profile is an explicit projection
Your Profile is the place to choose public-facing details, including your public bio, image, handle, and any Accounts you deliberately expose. Private profile fields and AI preferences are never copied into the public profile.
Contacts stay directional and private
A Contact is your private record about another person or Entity. Saving a Contact does not make the relationship public, grant that person access, or expose the private Entries you attach to that Contact.
