Trash and recovery
Recover Entries, Contacts, and Shared Spaces moved to Delete, understand when Undo is available, and distinguish recoverable removal from permanent deletion.
Delete is a recovery area
Deleting an active Entry, Contact, or Shared Space first moves it into Bounded's Delete area. This recovery step keeps an accidental removal from immediately becoming permanent.
Undo or restore
Immediately after moving supported content to Delete, use the Undo action when it appears to restore the exact record. You can also open Delete later and restore retained items from their dedicated sections.
Know the retention window
Deleted Entries retain their original context and are scheduled for removal after 30 days unless restored or permanently deleted first. Contacts and Shared Spaces remain in Delete until you restore or permanently delete them.
Ownership still applies
Only actions authorized by the record's ownership and membership rules appear. For example, an Entry's author-owner controls its deletion lifecycle; shared editing access alone does not permit another person to remove it permanently.
Permanent deletion is separate
Permanent deletion requires a separate confirmation and cannot be undone. Deleting your entire Bounded account is a different process with fresh identity verification and its own explanation of data that may need to be retained.
